The spring or springs on your door are under tension and is the force that actually picks up your door. The springs are rated for so many cycles and sooner or later they will break. If you have 2 springs on your door change them both at the same time. This will eliminate a service call for you since when one breaks the other pry isn't far behind. The picture below shows you what a broken spring looks like. Cables will also break or come off the cable drum. Wich will cause the door to sit crooked in the opening, wedging the door in the track.
